I have been BUSY! BUSY! BUSY!...... since last I posted!
How many blocks did Bev and I get done for the Big Blowout Block Drive?
Hurricane Bev-Kev blew up 180 blocks, (200 if you count my friend Mike's blocks) and we are very pleased with our accomplishment! Hey Alycia, when is the next block drive? LOL
So here are a few photos of what have been going on the past week and a half.......
Our annual Family Reunion for my mother's side of the family.
Only 4 siblings of the original 12 are left.
Several of my first cousins are pictured here.
After the reunion, I had a few days off, and chaperoned my parents to Branson, Missouri, for a fun little trip to commemorate their honeymoon 50 years ago!
Silver Dollar City, the Dixie Stampede, and Branson Landing were visited by the
newly happily married couple! It was so cool riding roller coasters with my 73 year old father! I think he could have ridden them all day! He rode several multiple times when I was done after one go around! LOL! I am so proud of these two and love them more than I could ever verbally express!
We had a wonderful time, and I was able to visit a few quilt shops along the way!
This fabric shop is in Springfield, Missouri where I used to live and attend school.
I was completely floored by the quantity, quality, and low prices of the fabrics here! WOW!
I highly recommend visiting!
This quilt shop is located in Branson, Missouri and it has to be in my top 5 favorite
quilt shops I have visited across the United States now! I am so pleased I stopped in not once
but TWICE! They have such a friendly and helpful staff......and SCRAP BAGS!
This quilt shop is located in Ozark, Missouri. Again, this was a very inviting shop, and I wasn't looked at
as though I have three heads on my shoulders! More scraps were found here! YIPPEE!
I apologize for no photos, but, my camera battery had died, and I dove into the scraps the minute I got home to separate them!
Which leads me to my next item:
It's mystery time with Bonnie Hunter again!
I'm SO excited!!!!
For those of you who have been with me from the very beginning of my blog, you realize Bonnie Hunter's Easy Street mystery from last fall is the reason I have a blog at all! (Am I breaking into rhyme here???) I can't wait to get started on this year's mystery. I am still determining my color scheme, AND trying to finish up some other projects that MUST get done! It's a do or die moment for me on one of the projects!
Best wishes to all of my blogging friends who have entries in this fall's Blogger's Quilt Festival! There are truly some amazing entries this fall!
Who is going to Houston?????
Thanks for ALL of the encouragement!
