I would like to take this time to wish each and every one of you at home and abroad....
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
I will be travelling to my parent's home this week to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family. I hope wherever you are, and however you celebrate, it is the best ever!
Now......
For all of you "Bonniacs" out there..........
Not that we are that excited or anything..........
But, just so you can keep track of time for the "Grand Illusion" mystery...........
Thanks for all of the encouragement!
Happiest of Thanksgivings to you and your's!
Kevin the Quilter
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
ReplyDeleteYour countdown is fabulously funny.
My mantra for Friday is: It's all about the stitch, bout the stitch, NO SHOPPING!
Happy Thanksgiving Kevin! Safe travels.
ReplyDeleteHA! Love the count-down timer! :D
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving to you too.
ReplyDeleteThe counter is a nice touch, very clever
Thanks for the countdown timer! I've decided to play this year, just with different colors.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, too, Kevin. Enjoy the new mystery quilt along! And now I have to go listen to Styx (their 1977 album, my favorite, was called Grand Illusion, oh never mind...)
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving, Kevin!! Enjoy your time with your family and sew up a storm!!!
ReplyDeleteSafe travels & Happy Thanksgiving to you ... Thank you for the Countdown, I remember you did the same thing last year too....
ReplyDeleteBe safe. Happy Thanksgivings!
ReplyDeleteHaha! Love the countdown! It's getting close! Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Thanksgiving visit! I can't wait for this mystery - sooooooo terribly excited to finally be joining in. I'm still in the midst of pressing all my fabrics that I pulled out of the stash. They were all quite squished and the fold lines are too sharp for accurate cutting. Oh! Yesterday I set Little Miss up and tried her out! I just ran some scraps through using the thread that came on her. They aren't kidding when they say these featherweights make a nice stitch. Boy, are they clean and perfect, and the tension is just perfect for the cotton fabric. I did open her up to check what cleaning may be needed, and - yeah!! lolol I think the last time she was used was 30 years ago, and that person didn't know to ever take the plate off and brush things out. Talk about FELTED stuff crammed all up! It took me forever and a few online tutorials to figure out how to get the bobbin case inserted correctly again. But I learned from that experience that this machine is a dabbler's dream - with all the information online, and the straightforward simplicity of the machine, I can completely overhaul her myself. I'm really looking forward to that, but I have to wait for the servicing supplies to arrive - lube, oil, syringes, etc. My funny hubby admired her and then said: "But where do people even BUY kerosene??" lolol That was hilarious to me, coming from a guy who does all kinds of home maintenance and stuff. I don't like the old pedal on her - the extra poky-uppy part hurts my foot, so I'm hoping Santa can find a lever-action pedal that works for her.
ReplyDeleteLove the countdown Kevin!!! I can hardly wait!
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful to "know" you, Kevin, and for all you do for QOV!
ReplyDeleteI've decided to sit out this BH mystery for now. If I like what I see when it is finished, I may print out the directions for future use.
Enjoy the mystery! :)
