It seems that there is so much going on in blog land these days.
SOOOOOOOOOOOO many projects to whet one's creative appetite!
I have been questioning myself........
Should I add to the many, many, many avenues of artistic undertakings that are out there?
(Some piecing I have worked on this past week.)
I have heard from several of you that would be interested in me sharing Scrap Club via my blog?
I would be happy to do so, however, I would really want a show of hands (so to speak) so I know I wouldn't be wasting my time or yours? The last thing I want to do is bore anyone here!
If there is a lot of interest, I will share a post of everything that Scrap Club is about.
You certainly can participate from where you are and utilize your scraps!
I also don't want to dissuade anyone who is local to not come because of this?
Please REPLY to this post so I know whether to follow through or not?
Thanks again for your nice comments and response to Scrap Club!
In other news.........
Here is an interesting video on
chicken embryo development.
I find this utterly fascinating!
The eggs are at day 14!
1 week left before hatching!
I! AM! SO! EXCITED!
My long awaited parcel arrived in the mail!
Bonnie has had an overwhelming response to
her most recent publication, "Addicted to Scraps."
I wanted to wait to order mine until she had received
her latest shipment, because I wanted to buy from the author herself!
I can't wait to use the amazing "Essential Triangle Tool" she
developed.
I was also able to visit with my blogging friend Cheryl of
as she was driving through St. Louis this past week.
Here we are, posing for our close up
You can read all about her road trip and
the items she found along the way here.
Thanks for having dinner with me Cheryl!
Don't forget to reply to this post if you are interested in me sharing Scrap Club via my blog?
Thanks for all of the encouragement!
Keep on Quilting!

Hi Kevin, I AM interested in finding out about Scrap Club. I use Bonnie's scrap system - sort of. I keep lots of smaller pieces segregated as half square triangles, squares, etc. Maybe a little OCD. I liked your Christmas tree pattern and plan to make it for next year. Since I am from Canada, I can not come to your club. I do, however, enjoy your teaching style and enthusiasm. You can count me in if you do the blog scrap club. Liz
ReplyDeleteI didn;t want to seem greedy or take away from your local group - OR I would have definitely asked for you to share with us. I was looking for a specific backing and mistakenly opened the extra large tub of bags of gifted scraps I haven't even looked at yet - OH the glory that is in there. YES - my hand is up.
ReplyDeleteME, ME!! I would love to read more about it!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to be inspired by virtual scrap club!
ReplyDeleteInterested YES!
ReplyDeleteWell one who has more scraps than I know what to do with so I would more than pleased to read about what you are thinking. Unfortunately I live a state away and can come in person, but through blogging would be great.
ReplyDeleteLoads of scraps have accumulated at my place, so I'd love the inspiration of a blogland scrap club :-)
ReplyDeleteI am interested. Love scrap quilts.
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm interested in the scrap club information.
ReplyDeleteYes - more info on scrap club please!
ReplyDeleteI love everything you do Kevin. I am not a quilter so I would not participate in your blog scrap club thank you. Eggsciting hatching time coming...XO
ReplyDeleteHand up!! Well....would you come organize my disaster of a scrap mountain for me first? ;)
ReplyDeleteLove the chick video!
Thanks for sharing all you do my friend.
If I read about your scrap club, then maybe I'll finally start using some of my scraps. I used 3 of the eggs you gave me, to make a corn spoon bread recipe tonight. YUM! (I'm sure the eggs made it even better). Thanks!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely interested! Scraps are taking over here.
ReplyDeleteI would like to hear about the Scrap club. I am not local and have a hard time getting out to any quilt things in my area. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteScrap Club sounds like fun, but if it would be too much extra work for you, keep it at your local shop. We will still ooh and aah over the scrappy goodness!!
ReplyDeleteMy hand is up for the blog Scrap Club, I'm in the Pacific NW. You will love Bonnie's new tool/ruler. It blew me away, everything came out perfect :-)
ReplyDeleteI am on the left coast and your scrap club from home is calling my name
ReplyDeleteYes
Once again, I am trying to refrain from SALs this year (other than a couple of doll quilt SALs I allow myself). I was able to finish so many UFOs last year by keeping a stiff backbone and not caving in to the temptations online, as I have every other year. But that doesn't mean I don't love seeing what everyone else is creating.
ReplyDeleteIm so excited with the chook development, heck you will be shearing sheep next ;) You had me at scraps but you have enough of a work load as well as your classes etc, dont spread yourself too thin.
ReplyDeleteScrap Club sounds fabulous to me too.
ReplyDeleteYes! Yes! Yes!
ReplyDeleteAn online scrap club project sounds right up my alley! I don't live anywhere near where you're presenting Scrap Club so it would never interfere with your classes. I love seeing your blog entries and agree with 'sew surprising', don't spread yourself too thin even though we all enjoy seeing your great ideas.
ReplyDeleteOh!!! In one week you are gonna be a daddy!!! So very excited and hope you take lots of pictures and videos!!! The Scrap Club sounds like fun and makes me wish I had more then just my 2.5" squares with me! I have pieced a few quilts since I got here so I've created more scraps *grin* so I'd love to give it a go!
ReplyDeleteYes I would be interested in scrap club
ReplyDeleteyes please would love to see what you are up to with scraps I am a scrap lover and made a scrap really scrappy quilt for my granddaughter`s 18th birthday. Now doing a scrappy crazy challenge a different colour each month

ReplyDeleteHey - Count Me In... Love scraps - more ideas the better.
ReplyDeleteMaryLou
I'm interested!
ReplyDeleteI am definitely interested in the "Scrap Club". That being said, I don't want to create any more work for you than you already have. I know what it is like to work full time and still keep all the other balls rolling. So, no worries if you need to keep it local. I'll just have to move to MO! Speaking of MO, I love the quilt in the background photo with the "arch"! Good luck with the chicks.
ReplyDeleteYes, please! I LOVE scrap quilts!! Two local quilt shops have closed here recently and I feel like I have been missing out on the fun. I would love to join YOUR party!!
ReplyDeleteUmm, yes please! Sign me up. I would love to participate in your scrap club. You are so creative. Thanks for doing this. I am so eggcited! Tanya
ReplyDeleteI love reading your blogs. Anything you post about is interesting. Would love to hear more about the scrap club too. And the chicken saga is cool too. Thanks for giving us a peek into your day!
ReplyDeleteI'd love for you to share your scrap club. I'm not from the St. Louis area, but visit there to see siblings. Any ideas to help with taming the scraps will be appreciated.
ReplyDeleteI would be interested, agree with others, I am not local ( CA ) I enjoy your posts.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely interested in your Scrap Club. I live in Oakville and it's just a bit too far away to participate in person, so participating via blog would be the next best thing. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI would love to be part of your scrap club. I live in Utah and need an extra push to use up my scraps. I enjoy your blog.
ReplyDeleteScraps? Club? Yes indeedie, I want to play along! :)
ReplyDeleteYes! I would love to see more about your scrap club here. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteYou can count me in also! I love scrappy!
ReplyDeleteI opened "one last box" that had to go to my quilt room from the garage and discovered several jumbo size bags of leftover fabric from about 2002-09. Humph, as if I needed more! Now that scrap quilters have thoroughly captured my attention, I'd love another place to go for inspiration! Bonnie is queen, but I love the way you channel her while adding yourself to the mix. Wish I lived nearby, but thanks for thinking of us "remote" quilters!

ReplyDeleteI would love to join you from afar. You are about 2 1/2 hours from me but would love to keep up with what everyone is doing.
ReplyDeleteI am interested in your "virtual" scrap club! I live in Yreka, CA, just 40 miles south of the Oregon border, so it would be hard to go to your place!!
ReplyDeleteCount me in! I love the idea of a virtual scrap club! I got Bonnie's latest book for Christmas and am currently cutting out carolina chain for a leader's & enders. I love your spin on all things scrappy!
ReplyDeleteIt would be great to follow along with your scrap club, Kevin. More scrappy inspiration for ideas and fun piecing. So yes, please share scrap club on your blog.
ReplyDeleteAnother hand up over here in western Canada. Would love to encourage you by bolsteting your readership and well being and applauding your efforts. Scrap bins in the scrap user system are ready and willing to take on all comers...and new ideas. Thanks so much and brava for putting yourself out there for us my friend. And that whole chick hatchery business is ao exciting.

ReplyDeleteMe, too. I would love to know what goes on in the scrap club.
ReplyDeleteOf course I am always interested in whatever you are up to my clever little friend! Not sure that I will be able to sew along faithfully, but you know I love sewing with scraps, so I'm sure you will tempt me to join in more times than not!
ReplyDeleteI would love to be able to be in scrap club on line.. What fun this will be..
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance Kevin..
I'm interested in Scrap Club!
ReplyDeleteI would love to hear about your Scrap Club. Thank you for all you do and I love your blog.
ReplyDeleteYou can count me in for the bloggy version a the Scrap Club, but only if you feel you've got enough time to devote to it. It takes a lot of time to write those kind of posts and sometimes it's better to just have the time to sew since you have a "day" job on the side.
ReplyDeleteI need something besides Quilts of Valor to do. I only see RWB most days. I like scrappy, reminds me of my Mom. So count me in. Julia
ReplyDeleteCan you see my hand is raised saying call on me??
ReplyDeleteYES, count me in!!
Count me in. Is there a quilter out there that doesn't have scraps? I know they multiply at night and I need to add some light colors so they can get to multiplying.
ReplyDeleteI would love to be involved in scrap club.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the chicks! It's exciting! The scalp club has always intrigued me! I'd love to learn from you :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to participate in the Scrap Club via the blog and appreciate you considering your internet groupies! Don't you just love Bonnie's new book?
ReplyDeleteYes sir!
ReplyDeleteLate to the party, but hand is up for Scrap Club!
ReplyDeletehey, I didn't realize you posted already, I would love it if you could share the scrap club, perhaps share online after the in-person get togethers. I've got scraps to galore and even with En provence, I still got lots of purples. I know the feeling when Bonnie's newest book arrived at my doorstep with the essential triangle. Love your piecing units. Your selection of fabrics are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI am interested in the scrap club, too!
ReplyDeleteI would be interested in information on your scrap club. Thanks for writing a blog. Take care - Robert, from northern Iowa.
ReplyDeleteI am interested in the scrap club. I appreciate your generosity in sharing it with your online followers. I occasionally make it to Jackman's Fabrics! It's cool to see you there.
